The much anticipated Apple Event is just half an hour to go. The US-based tech giant is going to unveil the next generation iPhone, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Watch 2 and an upgraded version of MacBook Pro. Before the event, a tweet by an official Star Trek-related account has created storm among the tech enthusiasts. The tweet was posted by the @Roddenberry Twitter handle, the official account of the Star Trek creator, late Gene Roddenberry. The tweet from the entertainment company hinted that Apple Siri might come with the voice of Star Trek’s computer, the Enterprise.
The tweet from Roddenberry also mentions ‘Majel’s voice’, the voice of late Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, and Gene Roddenberry’s wife. Gene Roddenberry gave the voice of the computers of the iconic fictional spacecraft in four iterations in the Star Trek series. The tweet also suggested that Star Trek franchise has recorded the voice of Majel and is working to incorporate her voice to Apple Siri. Moreover, the voice will also be used in the next instalment of the series, Star Trek: Discovery.
Majel’s voice is recorded phonetically, &we’re working to get her voice for things such as Siri, maybe voice of the computer on #STDiscovery

The tweet was tactically posted just before today’s Apple event. Also, Star Trek is celebrating the 50 years anniversary this week. Although neither Apple nor Roddenberry have confirmed the news, the announcement of Siri getting Star Trek voice has excited the fans. So we have to wait for just a few minutes before we come to know whether Siri will get the Star Trek voice and if it gets, it will truly be a historic feature.
