Ruby Rai was highly doubted of topping the arts category in the Bihar Intermediate Examination (BSEB) when she could not answer to any of the questions regarding her subjects and mentioned that the subject Political Science is related to cooking and pronounced it as Prodigal Science during an interview. After Ruby was witnessed making unacceptable mistakes regarding the subjects in which she had topped, another set of the exam was rescheduled for her and the result led to the disclosure of a scam related to cheating. Therefore, Ruby was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) right after the result of the rescheduled exam was declared.
The racket shook the entire nation as it was extremely shameful and also involved former chairman of Bihar School Examination Board Lalkeshwar Prasad. Along with Ruby there were three other students such as Rahul Kumar, Saurbabh Shrestha and the daughter of the Vishnu Roy Colleges’ principal Shalini Rai who were involved in topping the examination via fraudulent means.
And reports have also stated that lakhs of rupees were given as a bribe to make the students top in their respected fields. Apart from Lalkeshwar Prasad his spouse Usha Sinha along with almost twenty one others were arrested in due to this racket.
The scenario took place in the month of June when all the board results started getting declared. However, it created a lot of ruckus and raised an innumerable number of questions regarding the corrupted means that were involved in passing the students.
