The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 10: The eighth and final season of popular American supernatural drama, The Vampire Diaries is already halfway through and the premise surrounding what is most probably the final season we will see the characters is huge. Over the course of the previous nine episodes, it can be said without a doubt that Season 8 has been the most turmoil-struck iteration in the history of the show and the plot seems to get thicker by the day. The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 9 titled“The Simple Intimacy of the Near Touch” saw Sybil take revenge on Damon by switching his humanity back on which ended up with a distraught Damon repenting and reflecting on his actions and whatever he did under Sybil’s mind control.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 10 titled ‘Nostalgia’s a Bitch‘ will shed further light on Damon’s suffering as he comes to terms with the terrible deeds he did with Enzo under Sybil’s influence breaking him by riddling him with a feeling of utmost guilt. However, annoyed by his dreams, Caroline and Bonnie turn up help Damon but later realize that Stefan is the only option available if they have any good shot at bringing back Damon from his new-found guilt-riddled self. Stefan, who is under the influence of Cade and has turned into a ripper from the past again showed no signs of remorse for his brother’s condition. In the teaser, Stefan is expressing his satisfaction with the mayhem that’s happening. Damon is telling him about a memory he previously had. Damon says the vampire running around in his head that he is warning his brother about is Stefan and not Damon. Stefan is in full ripper-mode. He replies that Damon will watch Mystic Falls burn.
It seems that to delve further into the problem, Bonnie and Caroline decide to enter Damon’s subconscious in order to conjure up a cure for him. Earlier this week in a build-up to the tenth episode of the season, The CW on Monday released several new shots from The Vampire DiariesSeason 8 Episode 10, appropriately titled “Nostalgia’s a Bitch,” featuring the return of two beloved characters: Sheriff Forbes (played by Marguerite MacIntyre) and Tyler Lockwood (played by Michael Trevino). These characters who have been deceased in past episodes will reportedly feature somehow in Damon’s mind as he expresses his guilt towards his deeds. Although CW shared details of only these two characters, there is no telling whether there might be more recurring cast members featuring in Damonland. Fans have expressed desires for Nina Dobrev to make an appearance in episode 10 of The Vampire Diaries Season 8. However, it is highly unlikely for the actress to make an appearance this early as she is already expected to feature in the season finale.
Nevertheless, whether Bonnie and Caroline can conjure up a cure for Damon’s state of mind will what we have to wait and see when the next episode of this popular supernatural drama series is rolled out.
