ZTE Axon 7

ZTE is a relatively unknown mobile manufacturer, and honestly, no one cared if it existed, until now. The company is launching their latest flagship phone for the year 2016 and it’s one of the most amazing phones we’ve seen as of yet. Called the Axon 7, the handset can compete with the likes of LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7. It’s priced at $500, which costs around $200 less than it counterparts. Down below we have listed everything you need to know about ZTE Axon 7.

Display:

The ZTE Axon 7 sports a super 2560 x 1440 resolution Quad-HD display which makes the handset a VR-ready device. We are told that ZTE will be launching their very own VR headset that’ll be compatible with Axon 7. The smartphone is also known to be compatible with Google’s DayDream VR.

Processor:

The ZTE Axon 7 is going to be powered by the very powerful Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 (that recently debut along with the Le Max Pro and is also responsible for powering the Xiaomi Mi5). It’s worth noting that Snapdragon 820 that comes with a quad-core 64-bit chipset is a successor of the Snapdragon 810 processor of 2015. The processor is clocked at  1.8 GHz and is accompanied by the Adreno 530 GPU for improved graphic performance.

Operating System:

The handset will be running on Google’s latest mobile operating system Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and will have latest features like Now On Tap and Doze Mode. Sine the Axon 7 is a flagship phone, we are expecting the device will upgrade when Android’s next improved operating system comes out.

Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 & USB Type-C Port

Under the hood, the Axon 7 comes packed with a decent 3,140 mAh battery, but that’s not even the most interesting thing about the battery. Powered by the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology, the battery of the device can go from 0% to 80% in just 35 mins, or so the company claims. This quick charging capability is also present in Xiaomi Mi 5 and is extremely convenient for smartphone users.

Data syncing is catching up so it’s very obvious that the ZTE flagship handset will also incorporate the USB Type-C Port. With this connector and the quick charging, the facility will help the handset with better battery performance in daily usage.

Camera Sensors:

Axon 7 comes with new and improved Samsung Isocell sensor. The 20MP sensor is quiet excellent when you compare it to the 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor on the Xiaomi Mi 5. The camera is capable of recording slo-mo video up to 240 FPS. Other significant features include Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), dual LED flash, OIS as well as 4K video recording. In the front, Axon 7 has got an upgraded 8MP sensor.
