Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha Motor has revised the 2017 Yamaha SCR950 Scrambler. The bike will be revealed in 2017. Scrambler manages to look sharp and has no “makeshift vibe” about it. Iwata’s custom bike program produce numerous impressive designs that use bolt-on parts. It has a middleweight line-up that is equipped with low profile bench seat, retro racing side number plates, fork boots, and bold colour accents. The bike owns an LED rear taillight that adds to the stylish “neo-retro” look when the high-mounted turn signals improve the visibility and boost the classic styling lines, and all of it come together to make the model visually stunning. The bike has the styling of a 70’s Yamaha scrambler.

The upfront of Yamaha SCR950 Scrambler is a thick 41mm fork when at the rear it is a twin shock. It also includes piggyback-style gas chambers. A 2-into-1 exhaust pipe with an upswept muffler offers an improved ground clearance. The motorcycle gets strong aluminium rims and spoke wheels that are designed for handling harsh road conditions. The rugged, block-pattern 19-inch front and 17 inch rear tires air provide an ideal grip balance, durability, and agile handling. The new SCR950 draws its power from a 942cc air-cooled SOHC 60 V-twin engine with four valves and 5-speed transmission in a double cradle steel frame in every cylinder. The engine comes with a five-speed transmission and compact belt drive. The bike provides a 298mm disc brake up front and 298mm at the rear, both equipped with wave rotors. The front brake uses a floating mount to resist heat distortion.

The new 2017 SCR950 Scrambler measures 2250mm in length, 894mm in width, 1165mm in height along with a wheelbase of 1574mm and ground clearance of 139mm, along with 298mm front disc brake and 298mm rear disc. The handlebars are also different from everything Yamaha used on the XV950. No doubt the bike is unique in its style.

In the US, the 2017 Yamaha SCR950 Scrambler will be available from July 2016 in either Charcoal Silver or Rapid Red, with a price tag of $8,699 (Rs. 581005.78 INR).
