Earlier today, Xiaomi launched their latest flagship device, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2at its ‘Curved to Impress’ event in Beijing, China. The much-awaited smartphone by the consumer electronics manufacturer had been a topic a conversation since a long time and there have been numerous leaks and speculations regarding the specifications of the smartphone, but the Mi Note 2’s release has finally revealed the entire range of features this high-end device has to offer.
Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2 smartphone comes with a flexible OLED display, and 3D curved glass on both sides. Xiaomi also announced a new Mi VR headset, which will work with its Mi Note 2 and Mi 5 smartphone series. Xiaomi also showcased a new prototype phone called Xiaomi Mix.

Hardware and Memory Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 sports a 5.7-inch OLED flexible display with a 77.2 percent screen-to-body ratio, 110 percent NSTC gamut and contrast of 100,000: 1 on the display. Xiaomi has used curved 3D Glass on both sides of the phone, with a metal frame in the middle.The Mi Note 2 is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 Performance Edition SoC.
Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2 will come in three variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB global version.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The Mi Note 2 has a 22.56-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and EIS with its own 3-axis gyroscope for 4K video stabilisation. For selfie taking and video calling purposes, the Mi Note 2 sporta 8-megapixel Sony IMX268 Exmor RS sensor, and an f/2.0 aperture, apart from a group selfie feature and Auto Beautify 3.0.
Battery and Connectivity
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is powered by a mammoth4,070 mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The device is slated to haveHiFi sound quality, SAP high-precision GPS and NFC support in addition to support for global LTE bands: 6 types, 37 bands.Mi Note 2 will also have a Virtual SIM card function which is aimed facilitating data usage for those travelling abroad in China giving them constant internet connectivity.

The Mi Note 2 From Xiaomi is, as of now, only available in China and no news of its launch in any of the other countries have been announced by Xiaomi as of yet but we are hopeful that some or the other statement regarding it’s worldwide launch will surface soon enough.
The Premium smartphone will be available for purchase in three variants according to its internal and on-board memory specifications.The 4GB RAM version will cost 2799 RMB (Rs 27,627 on conversion) , the 6GB RAM version is 3299 RMB (Rs 32,562 on conversion), while the global version will cost 3499 RMB (Rs 34,536 approximately). The device will be available inPiano Black and Glacial Silver coloured variants.
Xiaomi’s Mi VR headset will cost 199 RMB, and it comes with a hardware-level motion sensor and a 9-axis inertial motion controller.
