Fans who are eagerly waiting for the launch ofXiaomi Mi Max phablet would be glad to know that the recent officialimages confirms that thedevice will have ametal back and a fingerprint reader. Rumours have been going around for a long time but now its official that the handset will have the above features.A couple of days ago a certainWeibo user onChinese communications certification authority had spotted these features on theTENAA’s website. The leaked images revealed that the handset has got an excellent design and hardware specifications.

The official image reveals that the Mi Max phablet is having an incredibly large display screen but the device itself is very thin. The leaked images show a gold variant of the handset but in the official image we observed a metallic back. The glimpse of the back tell us that the look is quiet similar to that of 3D Glass design, found on both (recently released) Mi 5 and Mi Note.Besides the metal back, the back also reveals a ‘Mi’ logo and a circular fingerprint reader.

Speaking of the specification, the phablet will feature a 6.44-inch HD display. The device is powered byQualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset that comes coupled with 2GB of RAM. The model sports16GB of internal storage while the higher-priced models will be available with 3GB RAM with 32GB storage.

We are expecting that the rest of the features will be revealed on the launch day on May 10.One things for sure, the Mi Maxphablet is a budget device and theSnapdragon 650 chipset is already present in theXiaomi Redmi Note 3.
