Worst dressed celebrities at the IIFA 2017

Experimenting can sometimes have beautiful results while at most of the times it leads to disasters. The 18th International Indian Film Academy awards saw some actors with experimental dressing on the green carpet and it called for an emergency on the fashion police. Many were quite an eyesore and should have stuck to the traditional green carpet dressing gowns. Much of their fashion choices were discussed and broken down to the smallest of their elements and Katrina Kaif and Iulia Vantur came out to be the top contenders for the worst dressed celebrity for the IIFA 2017.

Iulia Vantur showed up on the green carpet in a black and silver pant-suit paired up with black open-toed sandals. She had her hair pulled back in a ponytail and her lips glowed bright red.

Her dress-up is well-suited for a powerful personality and while she might be Salman Khan’s girlfriend, she did not live up to the dress-up and failed miserably to impress the crowd.

Katrina Kaif showed up in a red-gold Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla constructed saree that was quite experimental. It was styled by fashion stylist Tanya Ghavri and turned out to be quite an eye-sore.

Other fashion divas who were polled amongst the worst dressed celebrities are Disha Patani, Bipasha Basu, and Taapsee Pannu but it was Iulia Vantur who secured the win for the poll with 59.92% of the voters choosing her as the worst dressed celebrity at the IIFA awards 2017. Katrina came in second place with 18.51% of the votes and while the gap might be too high for the first and second place, it is well-accepted that it was only a matter of chance that Katrina did not get voted as the worst dressed celebrity at the IIFA awards. It is unknown whether the choices were made by the divas themselves or their fashion stylists, but one thing is known that experimental dresses have only a slight chance of being successful on the green carpet.
