The World Bank is likely to fund a team of delegates from Assam tend to visit China to solve issues and learning flood control measures. The team comes as a group of the government official who would visit the country to seek appropriate action in studying over River Hwang Ho.

The entire expense will be borne by China thus to commemorate a strategical way to control natural calamities occurring most of the time. As of now, Assam is facing huge resource crisis as it’s dealing with a flood in the State.  A few days back after decision making in the Assembly regarding the crisis Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and taking a firm decision against the repercussions.

The funds provided by the World Bank will help in an extension of technical expertise, as well as take control over the flood along with the erosion of Brahmaputra soil henceforth turning it into one hugely resourceful River. Assam CM opinionated that rivers like the Brahmaputra, the Mekong and the Mississippi may cause a significant threat to dwelling places and comes with a great challenge and be ignoring it would be a blunder.

At present, State government is all set to make highly the resourceful Brahmaputra its priority in accordance to solve major problems accredited by it. They want to make it economically strong, vibrant and resilient, and most of it take control over it. People dwelling near river bank look the Brahmaputra as River of Sorrow because at the time of flood it gobbled each piece of land of the farmers and cultivators.

According to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, The state government wants to change the negative perception of scores of affected people towards the Brahmaputra, which constitutes the lifeline of the state and turn it into that of happiness and prosperity by according to top priority to the problems of flood and erosion.

The State government has filed up a set of records under Assam Flood Erosion and River Management Modernisation Project worth Rs. 1,500 crores in recent Monsoon Session held in Assembly. The project has been forwarded to the Centre and in turn, it passed it over seeking help from the World Bank after much in-depth evaluation of the files so as to curb flood issues led by the Brahmaputra.
