Westworld Episode 8: While the shocking revelation of the last episode kept fans reeling, they can wait to see what will happen in the aftermath of the shocking twist. HBO has released a couple of pictures along with a promo video, indicating what the next episode might hold. Additionally, a fan theory is doing the rounds that Teresa might make the come back by the end of the season, as a host. Although just a fan theory, the idea isn’t entirely illogical. With Westworld, there are several fan theories that are on point.
Westworld Episode 8 Synopsis
Here’s the official synopsis for “Trace Decay”: Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) struggles with a mandate; Maeve (Thandie Newton) looks to change her script; Teddy (James Marsden) is jarred by dark memories.
Speaking on the shocking revelation with Entertainment Weekly, Jeffery Wright said he had no idea that Bernard was a host at the beginning. “But prior to that she’d (showrunner Lisa Joy) been hinting at the complexities of Bernard and was cryptic about what that meant. But it became necessary so that I could be aware of some of the nuances in the direction, in the story – not so much so that it informed my performance, but that it shined light on moments in which its relevant, and when clues are left, for the audience,” said Jeffrey.
By the looks of the promo below in Westworld episode 8, Bernard will start questioning his maker, and the grief of Theresa’s death will kick start his story like that of the other host. It’ll be very interesting to see what he does since he advantages unlike other hosts in the park.

Theresa’s Return?
As is the custom of Westworld fans after each episode, this time too they have come up with a new Westworld theory that Theresa (Sidse Babett Knudsen) will be bought as a host. Of course, since the board had sent Theresa to keep Dr Ford in check when she is gone, the board will ask questions. The way of not getting caught will be to create a Theresa host. And that way, Ford will be able to keep an eye on the board. Only time will tell.
