War for The Planet of the Apes: The upcoming American science fiction film War for the Planet of the Apes is a sequel to 2014 blockbuster Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The third instalment to the reboot of original film Planet of the Apes released in 2011, it was followed by a franchise three years later. In fact, the first film comes as a remake of an old film Planet of the Apes released in 1968 and 2001 to which the franchise continued to add a decade later. Now with the third instalment in hand, War for the Planet of the Apes continues the story of Apes ruling the humans.
The upcoming film will tell tales of Caeser (Ape leader) where he forms an entirely different planet hence living happily with his extended family until humans discover him. Here the actual journey begins where the humans try to establish themselves and conquer their only home. Now with the Apes getting totally mad over the acquisitions, possessions, and disambiguation of human echelons approach. Moreover, the film also reveals that Apes, if united, they can conquer the human’s world at every plausible way.
Cast & Crew
Directed by Matt Reeves, War for the Planet of the Apes is being produced by Peter Chernin, Amanda Silver, Rick Jaffa, etc with its script penned down by Mark Bomback and Matt Reeves. The film possesses a superb cast of Andy Serkis (Caeser), Steve Zahn (Bad Ape), Judy Greer (Cornelia), Sara Canning, Terry Notary along with Woody Harrelson and Gabriel Chavarria, among others. Edited by Willian Hoy, the cinematography is done by Michael Seresin.
The filming of War for the Planet of the Apes began on October 14, 2015, with all cast and team assembled in various locations like Vancouver, Kananaskis, and so on. The franchise renewal took place on January 7, 2014, when 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainments received a huge acclamation over the second part. They signed Matt followed by an official announcement made by Andy Serkis and the production unit. As the months passed by, various media houses and magazines reported regarding the shooting and development of the film at a great pace.
Trailer/Teaser/Motion Poster/First Look
The respective film War for the Planet of the Apes launched its first poster or first look last year where Caeser was seen snow covered awaiting a huge battle against humans. Another poster showed the Ape riding a horse in all human-like gesture with weapons on his back. With all guts and glory, Apes seemed to overrule humans as the second poster went public. The motion poster and teaser were released on the same platform. The 47 seconds video showed Caeser saying “You must go before the fighting begins, I am sorry war has begun”. The official trailer got launched in a 2 minute 37 seconds video which showed a massive battle approaching between the Apes and humans so as to save their civilisation and planet.
The third instalment to the blockbuster franchise Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) and Dawn of the planet of the Apes (2014), War for the Planet of the Apes is scheduled to hit the global screens on July 14, 2017, with an intriguing story development and mass assassinations.
