In the latest series of event in Military-Terrorism counter attack, Hizbul Mujahideen poster boy Burhan Wani got killed in an encounter on July 8, 2016. The 22-year-old boy was the face of the militant troupe sending live videos through cellphones worldwide.Soon after the incident people fumed up and attacked security forces showing anger and protest over his death. The attacks took the shape pf violence to a high scale injuring approximately55 people and the death toll rising to 7.
At present Opposition party have urged to announceemergency all over Jammu & Kashmir. A curfew-like situation has emerged risking life of many. In fact, few innocent people have lost their lives due to police and public counter attacks. The mob in utter outrage has set ablaze 5 buildings which include three police stations. They have destroyed government properties, public and personal vehicles, so far.
South of Kashmir, the epicentre of such gruesome activities, have barred networks, disconnected phone calls, internet services, and much more. Pilgrims who tend to take a similar route for Amarnath Yatra have been stopped. The second troupe of pilgrims were sent back to base thus preventing the entry in the valley.
Burhan Wani’s native place Tral, Kashmir, is witnessing protests day in and day out. Thousands who came to attend his funeral have started protesting against military forces and theIndian government. Almost 40,000 people attended his funeral thus mourning heavily over his killing. Not only from his native place but entire Kashmir region i.e. Khadinyar in North Kashmir to Kulgam in South.

People who got injured during the violence are mainly young boys who are mostly severely injured and rest succumbed to death. Amir Bashir, 25-year-old youth faced injuries but succumbed to it. Zubair Ahmad got hit by a bullet in Qaimoh area. 16-year-old Saqib Manzoor was declared dead at the very spot of the riot. In a similar case, almost 50 youth have injuries out of which 30 have succumbed to death.
Areas of Jammu & Kashmir such as Bandipora, Qazigund and Larnoo in Anantnag district, Mir Bazaar in Kulgam district, Warpora in Sopore township of Baramulla district,Tral town of Pulwama district, Achabal and Damhal Hanjipora,Kund in Qazi Gund, etc. are on red alert.
Beside it, a stone pelting incident has also been recorded from areas like Sheeri, Delina and Palhalan, Kreeri, Pattan areas of north Kashmir Baramulla district,Barsoo and Shariefabad in Awantipora area of south Kashmir. Apart from remote areas of Kashmir, a small portion of protest could be seen in some part of Srinagar City too.
The entire mob attending the funeral and protesting against the killing of Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen shouted slogans of “Free Kashmir” thus expressing the feeling of Freedom. Few of them even hoisted Pakistan National Flag demanding statehood. 40,000 people residents who mourned for BurhanWani included some of the prominent members of SeparatistLeaders too.
