
Shamsheer Vayalil, UAE based radiologist and business man wishes to acquire Delhi and Mumbai hospitals so as to carry its health care service market forward in India. The physician is willing to acquire stakes of renowned hospitals similarly as he took over Kerala’s one of the leading health care centres Lakeshore Hospitals in April, this year.
The 39 year old radiologist started his career from Shiekh Khalifa Medical Centre in Abu Dhabi. He is willing to invest more than 1000 crores INR in Indian health care market. In fact the entrepreneur is already in talks with Delhi’s Rock Land Hospitals (RHL) and Mumbai’s L H Hiranandani Hospitals (LHHH). Vayalil, who is listed in Forbes 100 wants to rise effectively with Mergers and Acquisitions.

Apart from purchases in India, he has acquired quite a few medical centres in his home country too. Also, acquisitions of Hyderabad centric hospitals as well as Bangalore. The businessman has chain of medical colleges and institutes in Kerala.Before Vayalil two more UAE based entrepreneurs like B R Shetty and Azad Moopen came to India for acquisitions successfully establishing few medical centres and institutes.
As per statements of S K Abdullah, CEO, Lakeshore Hospitals,“We are in talks with RHL for acquisition of their three hospitals in New Delhi. We are also negotiating with L H Hiranandani for acquisition of one of their hospitals in Mumbai.”
According to Sujit Chatterjee, CEO, LHHH,It’s a greenfield project with 200 beds and 4.36 lakh sq ft of space. People are talking to us while we are slowly building and VPS is one of them.
Owner of VPS Healthcare headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Vayalil is willing to purchase Thane based Hiranadani Hospitals which is still under construction. Along with Mumbai-Thane locations the conglomerate is trying to acquire Rockland Hospitals located in Delhi ( Dwarka, Qutab) and NCR ( Gurgaon). On a further note, Vayalil owned conglomerate has almost more than 300 crores INR for investments in India in different location regarding Medical centres, Hospitals as well as medical institutes and colleges.
