Jammu and Kashmir Encounter

The ongoing Jammu and Kashmir encounter resulting from the detection of the suspicious movements by the border security forces while they were manning the forest area today morning. The encounters are going on at Kurpwar and Shopian districts.

The encounter started at the Sophian district’s Pehlipora area that is located 52 km away from Srinagar. In the encounter one militant identified as Farooq Sheikh has been killed has died. The other militant’s identity is still not known. A police official said, “We suspect more militants are hiding in the area”.

Jammu and Kashmir Encounter

The border security force is suspecting that the militants who got killed might have infiltrated from Pakistan and could be members of a group of militants from Pakistan.

Strikingly, illegal arms and ammunition have been recovered from the militants. The arms that they were carrying were enough to raise the suspicion among the security forces that the militants could be from Pakistan.

Till now the reports that could be accumulated states that the police said, “The operation continues”. Though two of the militants have been killed, and ammunition have been recovered, the tensions are on.
