With the football season running in full flow and the mid-season transfer period around the corner, rumours are going high involving a number of high-profile players. Big clubs are always in the news as they are always on the hunt looking for new players to add to their roster. And the latest developments have revealed that Real Madrid and Barcelona are in the news for two different players altogether.
Real Madrid has in search of a long time replacement for their long-serving goalkeeper Iker Casillas. They have Keylor Navas at the moment as their first choice keeper. But with the increasing age of Navas Real are looking for a long time solution to their goalkeeping position. And for that reason, they have turned their attention towards the current Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. The Real Madrid transfer news has revealed that they could swoop in for the Belgian goalkeeper as they feel he could be a long-term solution.
Keylor Navas came into the Real Madrid team in the year 2014 and with the passage he has proved his worth under the bar as Real Madrid. He was their second choice goalkeeper. But following their failure to bring in Manchester United’s David De Gea they persisted with Navas. And he hasn’t disappointed them with some stellar performances for the Los Blancos. However, nothing much has been revealed regarding the amount of money Real Madrid would pay to bring in Courtois.
While Real Madrid are in the news, it is going to be foolish to think that Barcelona would be too far away from the news, that too with the transfer period very much round the corner. One of the transfer rumours has revealed that Barcelona could place a bid for Chelsea wingback Victor Moses. However, the possibility of this transfer rumour getting realised is very minimal. This is because Moses might just not be released by his current employer Chelsea. Chelsea hasn’t got many options in the wingback position and selling Moses to Barcelona could turn out to be a tricky call. Antonio Conte might just not let that happen. However, Barcelona will look forward to going ahead with and add yet another promising youngster to their ranks. Sergio Roberto has played in that position since Dani Alves had left the club and adding Moses to their ranks could turn out to be a great move.
It can be concluded from these two latest transfer rumours that both Real Madrid and Barcelona are looking forward to strengthening their reserves. But it is going to be seen whether any transfer happens between Real Madrid and any other club since there has been a transfer ban imposed on Real Madrid till 2018. However, Barcelona’s move to bring in Victor Moses might turn out to be true considering the fact that they haven’t got a proper replacement for Dani Alves since his departure. However, all these are the rumours, and it remains to be seen whether these rumours turn out to be true or not when the transfer period sets in.
