
Not getting carried away by the grand box office success of Rustom, Akshay Kumar has already started shooting for his next movie, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha. The movie also stars Bhumi Pednekar and famous editor Shree Narayan Singh is making his directorial debut in the Bollywood with this movie.
Toilet- Ek Prem Katha is a social satire and tells the story of disadvantages of open defecation, the change in mindsets, and the wave of social awareness. The move has been largely influenced by the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ which was flagged by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.
To make India an open-defecation free country by 2nd October 2019, the government plans to construct 12 crore toilets in rural India. Even in an attempt to make ‘Swachh Bharat’ people’s movement, the Prime Minister had introduced a chain by welcoming nine famous celebrities to spread awareness on cleanliness. Among them, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and Kamal Hassan were from Bollywood.
Recently, the Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has been spotted in Mathura to shoot for this movie. Akki was shooting a bike sequence and received a warm welcome from the mob.
Toilet – Ek Prem Katha is presented by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and is produced by Friday Filmworks, Cape of Good Films, and Abundantia Entertainment. The movie is expected to hit the silver screens in 2017.
