The upcoming iMac (2017) will most probably sport a March 2017 or October 2017 release date.
iMac(2017): Apple’s iMac lineup all in one Macintosh desktop computers have consistently maintained its position as one of the most powerful systems in the world today and Apple Chief Tim Cook has reportedly opened up talks of the Cupertino-based tech giants rolling out an all new version sometime this year, pegged to be called the iMac (2017).It’s been a couple of years since Apple last released an update for the iMac line in 2015 when the Cupertino-based company introduced a Retina screen to smaller variants of the desktop while gearing up the larger models with Intel’s Skylake processors, However, in light of new development and the huge number of technological advancements being rolled out each day, great things are expected from the upcoming iMac system.
According to Macworld, Tim Cook explicitlyhinted at a 5K iMac giving way to a huge number of speculations and rumors.
“The current generation iMac is the best desktop we have ever made and its beautiful Retina 5K display is the best desktop display in the world. Some folks in the media have raised the question about whether we’re committed to desktops. If there’s any doubt about that with our teams, let me be very clear: we have great desktops in our roadmap. Nobody should worry about that.”
Also, the much-awaited all-in-one desktop is also slated to incorporate Intel’s latest Kaby Lake Processors which were announced during the recently conclude Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2017.Accompanying the Kaby Lake will be an AMD Polaris 10 chip in a bid to drastically enhance the performance of the next-generation all-in-one desktop. S-Series desktop chips like Core i5-7500 / Core i5-7600 / Core i7-7700K are the very chipsets which are expected to feature in the 27-inch iMac although what the 21-inch iMac will feature is still not clear. Further details about the 27-inch model also point at a 32GB of RAM and a 2TB Fusion Drive but further details have been withheld. By the looks of it, it is about to be sonethinghuge.
