The Walking Dead: Season 3, the graphic video game that comes out in episodes, now has a launch trailer for its first part. Also titled A New Frontier, the comic book-inspired video game will surface across platforms on December 20. We already knew about some of the characters that we would see in the upcoming game, thanks to Robert Kirkman, and the new trailer confirms that, alongside teasing some faces from the comic books.
The trailer reveals the new protagonist of the game, a guy named Javier Garcia, or Javi, who will be accompanied by several known faces from the previous games, most notably Clementine. Both playable characters will have to work together to make their way through the zombie apocalypse that has taken over the land. Other characters from the older games will also be seen making an appearance. Also introduced in the trailer is the new antagonist faction, The New Frontier. It is further clarified that they are a group of survivors who had initially got together with good intentions in mind. But as is customary, their outlook became increasingly convoluted that ultimately turned them into the guys that are now. The episode that will launch later this month will be a two part one, and will be titled Ties That Bind Part 1 and Part 2. Watch the trailer below.
Similar to its predecessors, The Walking Dead Season 3 retains a number of nuances of the series from Telltale, but the most remarkable thing that sets it apart is the addition of two playable protagonists. Besides them and other familiar characters from the games, the new title will also reportedly use many notable characters from the comic books, thus making it a crossover between the two. Needless to say, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding The Walking Dead Season 3.
The Walking Dead- A New Frontier will release for multiple platforms including Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS 4, PS 3, and mobile. It will be launched on December 20 only for the current generation platforms. The dates for the others will be announced in the near future.
