Huawei Maya: Going by Huawei’s activities over the last few weeks, it looks like the Chinese telecommunications company has a busy year ahead of them with a number of new releases coming up. Huawei hasn’t exactly been forthcoming with the details of these smartphones, but thanks to a lot of keen eyes, we can keep track of their plans. And now in that same vein, new sources have managed to find what looks like a brand new Huawei smartphone listed on Geekbench. There isn’t a name to this device yet, but it is listed under the model nameMYA-L03. Sources are calling this one the Huawei Maya.
The listing for the Huawei Maya, as it is now being called by sources, shows off some rather modest specs, so this particular smartphone is expected to be aimed at those looking to get their hands on a budget device with competitive specs. Coming to the specs themselves, the HuaweiMYA-L03 looks like it will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The processor is an ARMMT6737T which is clocked at 1.44GHz. This will be coupled with a 2GB RAM. At present, there is no other information about the new Huawei Maya, but if this device interests you, you might not have to shell out a lot of money to get your hands on it.
In addition to the MYA-L03,there seems to be another comparable model coming up from the company if we are to go by FCC filings from last year, GSMArena reports. This other smartphone is the MYA-L23, which unlike the Huawei Maya spotted on Geekbench, is a dual-SIM device, and the rear snapper will be a single camera unit. It further revealed that the device will be backed by a 2,920mAh battery, so we can expect the MYA-L03 to feature a similar powering unit. While the internal storage capacity is not known yet, the device will support microSD expansion, so no need to worry on that front.
From all these hints, it is clear that the Huawei Maya and its sister device will be much cheaper offerings than the ones we saw emerge from the company’s stable last year. We’re afraid there isn’t any information about when these phones might come out, but we’ll update whenever we hear something worthwhile.
