The sudden and curious death of one of the well-known actress of Bollywood Jiah Khantook the industry by storm. There were speculations that the claimed suicide is actually instigated by the Jiah’s boyfriend, Suraj Pancholi, the son of Aditya Pancholi, an established name of the industry. But the twist of the plot comes when Jiah’s mother, Rabia Khan accused it was a murder that was trying to be named as suicide, and she directly accused Suraj. Now the news is, on the 1st of August CBI informed Bombay High Court that its team has ruled out the possibility of murder, but Rabia thinks CBI is being partial and not focusing on events that prove it was a murder and not suicide.
Today Mumbai High Court has asked the mother to submit those points which she thinks CBI has missed as Rabia is demanding a probe by Special Investigation Team (SIT) alleging CBI that tries to make it a suicide.
Justice Naresh Patil and Justice Prakash Naik that, “The CBI has no reason to protect the accused (actor Sooraj Pancholi) in the case.”
But for the sake of justice, a division bench has been created by Justice Naresh Patil which has asked Rabia to prepare the list of anomalies she has foundsubmit it on 23 August. The list must contain three columns — one, thelisting of the anomalies in police probe; the second, enumerating anomalies in CBI investigation and the third mentioning Mrs. Khan’s views on the points left out in the probe.
Dhairyasheel Patil, the lawyer for Rabia Khan, has already given some crucial points which CBI has not taken into account.
- The BBM (mobile) messages exchanged between Jiah Khan and Suraj Pancholi were not considered, which Suraj had deleted. Those could be vital.
- The post-mortem report had mentioned that Jiah Khan’s neck had an injury mark that indicated strangulation or assault but those points too had not been considered by the investigating team.
Though the strangulation point was explicitly denied by Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh as it was tested and discussed with the India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and they denied it too.
