Terrorist Encounter

Today in the morning two terrorists had taken over a house at Jammu and Kashmir. Since the morning there have been reports of reports of shootouts. The Indian army personnel had surrounded the house. Reportedly one terrorist has been killed in the encounter. In the last three months, this is the third encounter at the states of Jammu and Kashmir. This counts an average of one in each month.

The incident took place in the village called Bomia located in Sopore town in north Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter started when the police and the army personnel started a joint operation in that area after getting the reports of the presence of the terrorists in a house of the village.


“One terrorist has been killed in the encounter. Operation is going on,” said an Army spokesman. A police official stated that the terrorists took over the residential house, and a gunfight is still on. The army and the police personnel are concerned about the family who have been held hostage by the terrorists. They are looking up for the secured and safe rescue of the household as far as possible.

Yesterday, four terrorists were killed during a major gun battle in Tangdhar sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district after Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control. An Army soldier was also killed in the firing. This wassecond infiltration attempt foiled by the Army along the Line of Control in last three days.
