Tata Nexon, the next generation subcompact SUV from Tata, has been showcased at the Geneva Auto Show recently. The new subcompact SUV, which will be introduced in India by the second half of this year, is expected to redefine the segment by storm when it launches and it is expected that the Nexon will also revive the passenger car-fortune of Tata Motors. Given below are five important points that you must know about the upcoming car.

The new Nexon
  • The new Tata Nexon will ride high on the IMPACT design platform as designated by Tata Motors. The IMPACT design platform will enable the Tata Motors’ design philosophy to mate 21st-century design formats with Indian buyer psychologies as well as domestic pricing standards.
  • The Nexon features aerodynamically engineered front pillars as well as a rear spoiler which provides a lot more real estate for the windshield. The newly designed windshield will also aid in 360-degree visibility.
  • The front fascia of the Tata Nexon has a ‘Humanity Line’ etched in chrome which separates the upper grille from the projector lamps as well as the LED DRLs. A floating roof aid in conveying the sporty outlook of the design team.
  •  The Nexon has been designed using the dual-tone colour scheme as the underlying design standard. The design element becomes even starker as we realise that the newly-launched Maruti Suzuki Ignis too sports the same dual-tone combination.
  • The all-new Tata Nexon has some remarkable interiors which when viewed with the features make this one of Tata Motors’ most ambitious projects. Included are bottle and cup holders, utility spaces, very sensibly included handbag holders, and laptop trays. There’s also automatic climate control available with rear AC vents. The new Tata Nexon may arrive with an optional AMT but that cannot be verified immediately. Expect a Diwali launch.
