Suzuki Jimny 4th Generation will be Made in India

the Japanese car maker Suzuki is now giving a chance to make its Jimny 4th Generation to India. There were rumours about the 3rd gen coming to India and in the 2012 Auto Expo it became almost clear, but somehow it could not be materialised. No wonder the news thrilled every car lover. It is the counterpart of Gypsy SUV, which is its third generation and was unveiled in 1998. The pocket-sized off-roader is one of the most favourite cars around the globe and is still the Indian Army’s ideal UV. As per the news the European dealers pressurising Suzuki to come up with a next-gen model of this car but without changing its quality. There is a chance of this great car to be manufactured at Suzuki’s upcoming Gujarat facility.

Jimny is ready to cater the markets in South East Asia, United Kingdom, France, Germany and maybe Brazil. The new-gen Jimny is expected with the same 4X4 system which will use the 1.0-litre booster jet with Ignis’s AllGrip AWD engine with an automatic gearbox and a 4-door extended wheelbase version. But the company has a plan for a shorter wheelbase and 2 doors – in line with the current 3rd gen car and is expected to make its way of making it in Brazil and Indonesia.

After 17 years the car is going to step in its 4th generation, and the journey will be starting from India with the dream of winning the heart around the world, is ready to take its first step.
