Surface Pro 5 Release Date:The recent Microsoft event disappointed several fans becauseSurface Pro 5 didn’t make an appearance. For several tech gurus, it was predictable owing to a number of reasons, while some suggestan early 2017 release date for Surface Pro 5.
As per iDigitalTimes, the lack of appearance of Surface Pro was anticipated by them. The notebook will come out in early 2017. The event saw Microsoft revealing a bulk ofRedstone 2 ( now called the Creators Update) related thingsAnd the publications reveals that Redstone 2 was delayed from 2016 to support a new line of Surface devices. And sinceSurface Pro 4 launched alongside a big Windows 10 update, it not hard to guess,Creators Update will release along with Pro 5.
Another publication, The Big Bag reports that the primary reason behind the delay is the “Kaby Lake” processor that is supposed to roll out by the year’s end. This means that the Surface Pro 5 can’t be expected before next year, 2017. If this is true thenPro 5 will be a major upgrade from its predecessor.
Some tech enthusiasts believe that since Apple has launched its MacBook Pro, Microsoft will have to step up the game. Rumour is that the Surface Pro 5 will have displays similar to that of2016 MacBook Pro. The device is likely to have a number of models, right from the basic Core i3, up to a Core i7.Apart from the Kaby Lake processor, the device is supposed to have a 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD storage. Some of thecomponents to see an upgrade in Pro 5 are – camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. As per Techvicity the upcoming device will feature a keyboard where the size of the space-bar will be reduced to that of a standard key. The ThunderBolt 3 USB-C port could be installedfor fast data transfer.
