Supergirl Season 2:With the last episode – Medusa – the major Arrowverse crossover kicked in. And we couldn’tbe more excited about the next episode that is guaranteed to be epic with two major rumours doing the rounds. While one suggests that the Dominators are going to return, the other says that Lillian Luthor will be returning in Supergirl Season 2 Episode 9. Here’s our take on how these how could happen.
Medusa was thefirst episode of the four-part crossover. The crossover continues with both The Flash and Arrow.
The Dominators Are Set To Return?
The race of the Dominators are a highly advanced alien geneticists who have their eyes on the humans of planet earth. As per executive producers Andrew Kreisberg they are going to return this season. He said: “Thisis not the last you’ve seen of The Dominators. The Dominators will return on Supergirl later this season.” And as the series is nearing its mid-season break, it is beingassumed that they’ll make theirappearance in Supergirl Season 2 Episode 9.
Back inSeptember, executive producer Marc Guggenheim had announced that The Dominators are going to villains in the four-way crossover. They are going to make this into a faithful adaptationof the comic book arc, the comic book from which the crossover is inspired.Guggenheim said in a press release,“We’re using cutting-edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look which is faithful to ‘Invasion!’ artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters.”
To recall, the Dominators areunable to travel between alternate Earths so it’ll be interesting to how exactly they come toKara Danver’s Earth.
Lillian Luthor Set to Return?
Executive Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly: “We have absolutely not seen the last of Lillian and Cadmus … Sometimes an enemy is deadliest when they are trapped. How Lillian deals with her incarceration and what happens moving forward will make up part of the storyline of the next batch of episodes. But Cadmus is a multi-tiered organization, and like the worst terrorist groups, you cut down one head, another rises in its place.”
Carter Mattnotes that perhaps it is time that we don’t need Cadmus anymore. And that with the winter finale of Supergirlthe story for Lillian Luther would finally come to an end. After her daughter played her, she got arrested. But her story may has not been completely at an end. Judging by whateverKreisberg said, it’ll be interesting to see howLillian Luthor returns into the show.
