Salman Khan has proved once again that he is the ultimate “King” of Bollywood in terms of Box Office collection with its latest release Sultan. He has provided yet another “300 Crore Club” movie after “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”. Today we will here be discussing Sultan box office collection till date. According to the critics, in “Sultan” he has done something different from that he has been used to do in his couple of last movies. He came down to an earthly character from “Super Hero” type characters. And it’s the turning point of this movie.
Speaking of the films into the 300 crore club, Prakash Jaju, who is a fund manager in the film industry said: “With only class touch, you can reach only 130-150 crore, but to touch 300 you need universal touch.” The film’s massive opening at the box office followed by its run at the single screens were the factors that contributed to the crossing of the Rs. 300 crore mark. Although the release of the film closely clashed with Rustom, which became Akshay’s third highest grossing movies of all time, ultimately Rustom was no match the storm that Sultan had created at the box office. While Sultan hit the 300 crore club, Rustom only made around Rs. 123 crore.
Sultan Total Box Office Collection Week 1 (9 Days)
Sultan (2016) is till now the highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2016 maintaining a huge margin over its competitors, and it collected a huge 36.54 Crore in its first day (Wednesday). It received a huge boost on its first day due to the “Eid” factor. It collected 37.32 Crore in its 2nd day and 31.67 Crore in its 3rd day. It continued its dream first week run by collecting a mammoth 36.62 Crore in its first Saturday and 38.21 Crore in its first mega Sunday. In short Salman Khan’s Sultan collected 180.36 Crore in its first 5 days only.
After the great start, Sultan needed to survive the acid test of the weekdays to earn the ultimate ATBB glory. The movie minted 15.54 Crore in its first Monday (Non-Holiday) which was fantastic. After that it collected 12.92 Crore (Tuesday), 10.82 Crore (Wednesday), 9.52 Crore (Thursday). The movie had already collected a huge 229.16 Crore net only from India in its first extended week (9 days).
Interestingly Sultan has been doing exceptionally well in the overseas market too. The movie collected a fabulous $17.46 million (117.5 Crore), and even famous Box Office analyst Taran Adarsh termed it as “Terrific”. So total first week box office collection of Sultan was 346.66 Crore.

Sultan Worldwide Box Office Collection Week 2 (7 Days)
Sultan started its week 2 slowly with a collection of 7.43 Crore in its 2nd Friday, but it picked up the speed quickly over the weekend by collecting 11.46 Crore on Saturday and 15.18 Crore in its 2nd Sunday. The 2nd weekend business of this movie was 34.07 Crore, which was huge. By then it had managed to earn that eternal glory of the “ATBB” tag by doing a total business of 263.23 Crores.
In its 2nd weekend, Sultan did an overseas business of $2.84 million (18.84 Crore). The makers of the film were quite happy with the business of the movie, and YRF even shared an official poster in its official handle stating that the film grossed $75 million (500 Crore) Worldwide in its 12th Day. Currently, Sultan is the fastest Indian film to cross 500 Crore in terms of worldwide box office collection.

Sultan collected 4.08 Crore in its 2nd Monday, and it followed by numbers like 3.72 Crore (Tuesday), 3.42 Crore (Wednesday), 3.51 Crore (Thursday). It even surpassed Dhoom 3 to become the third highest grossing Bollywood film in history in its week 2 only. It had done a business of 48.80 Crore in its 2nd week making it total BO Collection 277.96 Crore after week 2.
Sultan total overseas box office collection was $21.65 million (145.49 Crore) after week 2. So in the short 2nd week total worldwide box office collection of Sultan movie was 423.45 Crore. Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma were the highlights of the movie, and the movie is now being considered as the best “Sports Drama” ever made in India.
Sultan Lifetime Total Global Box Office Collection Week 3 (7 Days)
Sultan continued its dream run in its 3rd weekend as well; in fact, it gathered a good speed during this time. It collected 2.14 Crore (Friday), 3.81 Crore (Saturday) and 5.14 Crore (Sunday) making a total 3rd weekend collection of 11.09 Crore. We have just one word for such a huge box office collection even in its third weekend i.e. SENSATIONAL.
Sultan crossed 150 Crore in terms of overseas box office collection after the third weekend, and its total foreign business was $22.57 million (151.92 Crore) after weekend 3.
Sultan collected a decent 1.30 Crore in its 3rd Monday and 1 Crore in its 3rd Tuesday. The movie has started to fall, and it is being expected that the movie will just touch 300 Crore in terms of domestic box office collection and would become only 3rd film after PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan to achieve that feat.
Sultan Worldwide Total Box Office Collection Till Date (9th August 2016)
Sultan has already collected 290.35 Crore in just 20 days which is itself a history indeed. It is quite likely that the film will cross the prestigious 300 Crore mark by the 4th weekend for sure. Currently, the movie is gradually fading away from the box office due to the stiff competition from movies like Kabali, Madaari, etc. The competition will become tougher due to the upcoming mega releases like Dishoom, Mahenjo Daro to name a few. So Sultan box office collection till date is 291.35 Crore, and its screen space is being reduced with each passing days. So we can simply predict that the movie is going towards the end of its run at Indian Box Office for sure.
According to the latest updates from Bollywood box office, Sultan has crossed 500 Crore milestone on 8th August. “Bhai ka Movie” has managed to cross elite club of 500 crores. Till today, more than 300 screens are showing Sultan.
