‘Storks’ (2016) 2nd Day Box Office Collection: The latest American 3D computer-animated adventure buddy comedy film ‘Storks’ has its theatrical release yesterday and it seems that the footfalls for the movie have not been a great number as what was expected from it prior to its release. In a time where animated movies are not just targeted at the younger section of the audience, the ‘Storks’ brings back an animation feature whose plot is solely targeted at children with a funny plot and loads of good comedians as the voices in the movie. Yeah, no kidding the cast ensemble for this ‘kid flick’ includesAndy Samberg, Katie Crown, Kelsey Grammer, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Jennifer Aniston, Ty Burrell, Danny Trejo and Stephen Kramer Glickman. Written and co-directed by Nicholas Stoller the Storks seemed a potential box office hit at first but however loses premise in the plot and acomparatively low amount of footfall is proof of that but considering we are going into a weekend the footfall is surely slated to pick up and things might be on proper course for this Warner Bros. venture
‘Storks’ (2016) 2nd Day Box Office Collection
The basic story of Storks (2016) revolves around friendship and compassion, not quite oddly, between a stork and a human. The storks used to be in the baby delivery business before, now they have moved on to a more profitable business- postal delivery of consumer packages. Junior, thecompany’s top delivery stork, is about to be given a coveted promotion. Junior is also good friends with Tulip, the orphaned girl who is the sole human working at the factory. What happens then involves a strong bond of friendship formed between Junior and Tulip as they confront various problems which arise in the movie. A lot of the second half won’t make sense even to children but the movie does have a lot of funny moments with some really rib-tickling one-liners.

Made on a budget of$70 million and release in a worldwide theatre count of 3,922, the total box office collection of ‘Storks’ at the end of the 2nd day has settled down to an approximate $9 million considering the fact that it is a weekday and a promising time for light-headed children’s drama for kids and families. Warner Bros. hasn’t been able to produce very successful and lucrative animated films except for The Lego Movie in 2014 and that the studio is hoping Storks would duplicate that success.
