Sony has launched its latest mid-range smartphone called the Sony Xperia X Compact. The smartphone is for those who want the best and the most powerful but believes in the saying that all good things come in small packages.
Sony Xperia X Compact features a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Sony Xperia X Compact is single SIMed and its 9.5mm thick and weighs 135 gms. It sports 23MP main camera with triple imaging sensor which combines Sony’s image processor with RGBC-IR sensor and laser autofocus and 5MP front camera with 1/3.06-inch Exmore RS image sensor and 22mm wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture. The front snapper comes with ISO 6400 which Sony says will enable great selfies even in dimly lit conditions. So there here is no 4K video on the Xperia X Compact. The handset is backed by a 2,700mAh battery.

Sony says the Xperia X Compact body material was ceramic inspired, which sounds like sugar-coating the fact that it’s made of plastic. The handset is available in mist blue, black and white colour variants. As for the cost, the company hasn’t announced anything. According to Gsmarena, Sony will be positioning the Xperia X Compact somewhere between the Xperia X Performance and Xperia X, which means the phone will be priced at least €500.
