Sony Pikachu Might Make An Appearance at the MWC 2017

The forthcoming MWC event in Barcelona after this month is slated to see a lot of high-end devices being rolled out by the tech giants of today and the latest reports from tech enthusiasts point at Sony‘s new possible offering at the forthcoming event, unofficially named Sony Pikachu. The device has been spotted on GFXBench benchmarking website which led to quite a number of specifications pertaining to the device being revealed on the internet. Although any further details pertaining to the availability and announcement of the device has been withheld by the Japanese company.

Sony’s upcoming offering, unofficially known as the Sony Pikachu is expected to make an appearance at the MWC 2017 as device specifications were spotted on the bench.

A number of significant details regarding the Sony Pikachu have surfaced on the internet with most of the specifications very much in line with the best smartphones to be rolled out today. The Sony Pikachu is expected to feature a 5-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and 5 finger gesture support. The device will house a MediaTek MT6757 Helio P20 SoC octa-Core 2.3 GHz processor coupled with Mali-T880 and 3GB RAM. It offers 32GB of internal storage out of which 22GB will be reserved for the users. On the software front, the device is expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

The device is also expected to ace on the Optics front, the device is pegged to feature a 21-megapixel autofocus camera and a LED flash on its rear panel while an 8-megapixel camera in its front as well. The rear camera will have a host of features including autofocus, face detection, flash, HDR photo and touch focus. Connectivity options on the smartphone includeBluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi while sensors on the device include anaccelerometer, light sensor, and proximity sensor.
