Skullcandy has unveiled the all new Grind Wireless headphones in India. Priced at Rs. 6,944, the headphones are an upgraded wireless version of the Grind 2.0which is very accessible and cheap. It costs around Rs. 2,500 and uses Bluetooth for audio transmission.
Amlan Bhattacharya, founder and CEO of Brandeyes Distributors Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor for Skullcandy in India, said,“Our wireless product innovations were well-received in 2015. Grind Wireless will continue our mission to launch headphone in the style that changes consumers’ expectations of Bluetooth product’s aesthetics and acoustic performance.”
The new device looks almost like the Grind 2.0 and comes with an added integrated amplifier to enhance the sound quality. The headset has a battery life of up to 12 hours. Theright earcup integrates microphone, call, track and volume controls that allow easy control of the headset and music.
TheSkullcandy Grind Wireless will be exclusively available at Croma for about one month. After which the device will be available in retail stores and online, throughout India.
It’s worth recalling that Skullcandy’s last major launch in India was that of theUproar BT Headphones, priced at Rs. 5,999. At the time of the launch,Amlan Bhattacharya, Founder & CEO of Brandeyes Distributors Pvt. Ltd said,“As headphones have become part of the uniform of youth and our consumer’s everyday gear, our approach to the wireless category as a whole has been to solve the problems of all day wearability and performance without sacrificing aesthetics.” TheUproar BT headphones were an updated wireless version of the original Uproar headphone. These are now available dirty cheap, Rs. 2,000 on popular e-commerce sites.
The Uproar is a light weighted and comes with an on-ear fit. Being wireless, the headphone connects via Bluetooth. It has abuilt-in microphone that allows a user to be hands-free when making calls. The controls are builtinto the right earcup.The new headphones retain the company’s modern styling thatappeals to the youth.
