Sherlock Season 4 : Easy enough to say, British-American crime drama television series, ‘Sherlock’ has garnered an enormous amount of critical acclaim with its previous three seasons and Benedict Cumberbatch fans are eager for the next season of Sherlock which has a most probable tentative release date of January 2017.
Since, Sherlock aired back in 2010, the stories based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary fictional character got a completely new spin from the creators of the show and ‘Sherlock’ went on to become one of the most watched crime-drama series on television owing to an excellent cast ensemble and stellar performances from Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Earlier this year, a special episode called the “The Abominable Bride” was released on January 1, which took the setup back to the Victorian era and the special episode was met with a huge amount of positive response from Sherlock enthusiasts who were still waiting eagerly for the next instalment of their favourite “high-functioning sociopath”.

The latest news regarding the fourth season of Sherlock is definitely the casting inclusion of pop singer Taylor Swift’s former flame, Tom Hiddleston for the role of Sherrinford Holmes, Sherlock’s third brother. Though the Avengers star’s entire role and the longevity of it has not yet been confirmed, what we can be sure of is that his screen presence with Cumberbatch will be something to definitely look forward to.
To much dismay of Sherlock fans, Cumberbatch hinted during a recent interview that “Sherlock” Season 4 might be the last of the series.
“It might be the end of an era. It feels like the end of an era, to be honest. It goes to a place where it will be pretty hard to follow on immediately.”

The season 4 of Sherlock will be aired in early 2017. the show has maintained a two-year gap between the releasing of the episodes and we are sure that the 1st of January next year.
