17 Yrs after Priyanka Chopra’s win, India’s 20-Yr-Old Manushi Chhillar was recently crowned Miss World 2017. In 2000, Priyanka Chopra had won the Miss World award and since then the country was desperately waiting for the crown to come back to the nation. Well, India is swelled with pride and satisfaction after the 20-year-old girl from Haryana, Manushi Chhillar emerged to the winner of the pageant competition.

The young model not only wowed the judges with her beauty but she left everyone speechless with her knowledge on the stage. Soon after Manushi won the award, Bollywood celebrities and ministers poured love and respect on the girl. Defeating 108 contestants from around the world, Manushi became the sixth women from India to be crowned with the Miss World title.

Well, recently Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor tried to be witty on twitter and trolled Manushi for her surname, Chhillar. The leader made fun of the newly crowned Manushi by comparing her surname with loose change or currency. ‘Chillar’ is the Hindi word for ‘loose change.’
Tharoor tweeted.
“What a mistake to demonetise our currency! BJP should have realised that Indian cash dominates the globe: look, even our Chhillar has become Miss World!,”
Twitterati could not spare him but bashed him brutally for trolling and disrespecting a person and a woman who made India swell with pride. Guess, what Bollywood actor Anupam Kher even tweeted asking him why he had fallen so low? Well, this tweet of Anupam Kher was enough to make Shashi Tharoor realize that his tweet was not witty but a cheap stunt on the platform.
