The Telegu action-drama film Shankara is a remake of the popular Tamil thriller movie Mouna Guru which revolves around the character of a short-tempered boy who does not want to abide by the rules and regulations of the society where he lives in and his mother is utterly annoyed with his temper. The movie also depicts how he shifts from Madurai to Chennai and gets wrongly accused of a crime which he is not a part of and is committed by few policemen. However, the director of Shankara has tried his utmost to deliver the storyline of Shankara with extreme perfection by bringing out the exact potency of it which had been witnessed in the movie Mouna Guru.
