Now this is called good news. Shaktimaan will be back on TV. The 57-year old tele-star Mukesh Khanna has declared that he will start his famous show of the 90s, Shaktimaan once again. The actor told a leading daily that he is keen on starting the magical show for the kids again. He even cleared that he is work hard for it.

Shaktimaan is one of the very first attempts of Indian television for a superhero story. Shaktimaan had an incredible aura and won the heart of not only kids but adults too. When he was asked whether he is the perfect choice for the character or not because Shaktimaan is a superhero and Mukesh is 56 years old, and technically it is not possible to maintain the charm 15 years later. Mukesh Khanna shared his plans with media as he said he is trying hard to be fit for the character, and he has already lost 8 kilos and keen on losing 8 kilos more, and be fit though he has no intention to make a six pack or a hulk like body. All this trouble he is taking as he cannot even think of passing on this character to someone else. He added:

“I was very young when I played the role of Bhishmapitama in Mahabharat. I feel an actor can’t be restricted due to age. I feel age is just a number.”

Shaktimaan was a big part of childhood for the 90s kids and nothing can happier to see them back in our television boxes! Mukesh played the role of Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri aka Shaktimaan; while Vaishnavi Mahant played Geeta Vishwas, Shaktimaan’s love interest.

But there was a controversy that kids tried to imitate Shaktimaan and performed those dangerous stunts, and many risked their lives. Later Mukesh used to explain the children the importance of learning the fact that it is a fictitious character after every episode.
