Due to the aftermath of the Uri attack, young Pakistani artists might not attend the Serendipity Arts Festivals 2016 in Goa. Well, this is whatPreeta Singh, thefestival director informedIANS on Tuesday. In her statement, she said, “It’s been a very tough time and we still don’t have a real answer. What we have done is that when we conceived the young sub-continent project, we had four artistes from Pakistan as part of the project. Will they be able to physically come here, perhaps not.” Well, nothing more can be described as the aftermath of the recent controversy which has been surrounding the ban on Pakistani actors working in India.
Serendipity Arts Festivals 2016: Glamours
Serendipity Arts Festivals is a multi-disciplinary art event.This year it will occur from December 16 to 23 in Goa and will becurated by some expertsin fields of art.Promoting and binding up art with culture is the unique motto that the festival aims. With performances of the theatre artists likeLilette Dubey, Anuradha Kapur, the event will also highlight some eminent names such as the percussionist Ranjit Bharot, the classical singer Shubha Mudgal, the poet Ranjit Hoskote and photographers Prashant Panjiar and Dinesh Khanna.As said byPreetaSingh, this year the event will appear to be a first of its kind event in India to celebrate the diversity of arts with special focus on dance, music, visual arts, theatre, crafts, and culinary arts.
