As per Parent Herald, television producer Lara Spencer and writer Shonda Rhimes has previously admitted that they had already pictured out a finale for Scandal. Rhimes went on to say,[Olivia] never had to actually be a wife she never actually had to be truly emotionally available. And I don’t know that she necessarily likes that because then she has to actually commit so maybe that’s harder.” The publication back then had reported that Scandal season 6 will indeed happen.
