Scandal Season 6 Episode 2: American television drama series Scandal has already made a name for itself, becoming one of the most popular television series which is all set to go deeper into its sixth season after a cracker of a first episode. Scandal Season 6 Episode 2 is slated to air in the first week of September post its premiere on January 26.
The final episode of Scandal Season 5 saw Mellie(Bellamy Young) and Marcus (Cornelius Smith Jr.) shared a connection with each other. While Mellie was stressing over her campaign, he was there to help calm her down. During one of their conversations, Mellie and Marcus nearly kissed before hesitating themselves sending clear cut implications regarding the sparks flying between the two. The latest photos of Scandal Season 6 Episode 4 titled ‘Hardball’ reveal Mellie and Marcus having a heated conversation with each other. Mellie’s hand gesture suggests that she’s royally ticked off while Marcus looks calm.
In the promo released by ABC for episode 2, titled “Hardball,” Olivia, Mellie and Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield) are all convinced that Cyrus had something to do with Vargas’ death. However, President Fitzgerald Grant still doesn’t believe them. He trusts Cyrus too much to the point that he endorsed him over his own wife for the presidency. The teaser further goes on to show a very angry Olivia telling Abby that Cyrus will go to prison, and she won’t stop until she finds evidence that will put him there. Also, Fitzgerald Grant and Abby will be seen dealing with an unprecedented national crisis although further details regarding it have been detained.
At Television Critics Association, Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes revealed what to expect from Season 6. “[This season is] really about where [the characters] come to after all this time,” Rhimes told reporters as quoted by TV Guide. “It’s very different from any other season we’ve had.”
Scandal Season 6, episode 2 titled ‘Hardball’ will air on ABC on Feb. 2 at 9 p.m. EST.
