Samsung has already been at a device launching spree and the South Korean company is looking forward to a good 2017 market campaign after the Galaxy Note 7 debacle last year. With their latest smartphones and VR headsets already unveiled at the recently concluded CES event in Las Vegas, the tech firm is all set to unveil their latest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3 at the forthcoming MWC 2017 in February.
Earlier last year, a German website Winfuture had discovered two new devices, believed to be the two variants of the Tab S3, with model numbers SM-T819 and SM-T719. The SM-T819 was believed to be the 9.7-inch 20481536 display version of the Tab S3, while the SM-T719 is pegged to be the 8-inch version. Further listings on the benchmark revealed that the SM-T819 would sport 4GB of RAM, 8-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. The device was shown to run on Android 6.0.1 out of the box and was powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon octa-core processor, believed to be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652. The 8-inch variant is also pegged to sport a similar array of specifications as its higher variant simply making it a cheaper variant of the Tab S3.
AsGSM Arenareports, the Galaxy Tab S3 was recently seen on Zauba, which as a website that tracks India’s exports and imports. The site did not list down the device’s exact specifications, but it did note one important feature – it’s price. According to the publication, the price was listed as INR 34,140, which is around US$505.
An earlier report from Sam Mobileindicated that the new tablet will be launched within the first quarter of this year, and given that Samsung has typically announced new devices at the Mobile World Congress, people have already started predicting a late February/ early March release date for the Galaxy Tab S3.
