While fans eagerly await for Samsung next flagship, tipster Evan Blass has spotted new model numbers for Samsung Galaxy S8 and it’s unusual. They don’t follow the pattern of models from previous Galaxy phones. The reason behind the break in the pattern is unknown but may be indicative of the fact that the upcoming Galaxy S8 will be a break from the previous models in the line. The leakster also revealed the model number of another Samsung handset (tipped as Galaxy Note) that is currently at works.

Leaked Samsung Galaxy S8 Model Numbers

Samsung Galaxy’s previous models, the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge – carried model numbers of SM-G920 and G925 and Galaxy S7 and S7 edge had SM-G930 and SM-G935 model numbers. So naturally the Galaxy S8 should carry the model numbers of SM-G940 and SM-G945 but instead, Evan reports that next Samsung flagship comes with SM-G950 and SM-G955 model numbers.

In another Tweet, Evan announces that both variants of Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone will feature edge display. Speaking of rumours regarding S8, the phone will sport Samsung’s latest 3GHz Exynos 8895 processor,  a nearly non-existent bezel, along with a  Siri-like AI software named “Bixby”. Samsung will probably launch the Galaxy S8 at the Mobile World Conference event in 2017 that’ll take place at the end of February and the beginning of march 2017. And is rumours can be trusted, Samsung Galaxy S8 might ditch the headphone jack like Apple. The phone is likely to sport 30-megapixels camera, 12-megapixels front selfie, and features like unique photography experience, with features like optical image stabilisation, laser autofocus, HDR, geo-tagging and facial recognition.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in Works?

Another significant information that the tipster revealed was that Samsung was working on a handset with model number SM-N950 which is currently at works. It’s being speculated that the handset could be Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Could it be that Samsung hasn’t put an end to the Galaxy Note line after all. Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates on Samsung flagship devices.
