Riteish Deshmukh responds to Banjo’s Comparison With Ranbir Kapoor’s Indian Musical Film Rockstar

Ravi Jadhav’s Banjo starring Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri hit the silver screens yesterday, and the filmmakers have been associated with a question that the Hindi language musical action drama film’s storyline has a lot of similarity with Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar.

However, Riteish did not abide by the statement while talking to bollywoodlife.com. The actor stated that he has heard about every comparisonbut all the romantic movies are not DDLJ, Tanu Weds Manu or Jab We Met. The way of portraying a storyline for everyone is quite different. However, the concept of Banjo is kind of same but the storyline is totally different and the portrayal of Riteish’s character required different challenges, while Ranbir depicted his journey in Rockstar quite differently. Nevertheless, just one fact about Banjo matches with Rockstar which is Nargis Fakhri. Riteish also said that he loved working in Banjo as he had to essay the role of a roadside romeo and it was quite interesting.

Ravi Jadhav’s Banjo revolves around the storyline of a struggling musician portrayed by Ritesh Deshmukh who has a god gifted talent of playing the musical instrument ‘Banjo’. The character of Ritesh shows that what kind of hardships and hindrances one has to overcome to emerge as a winner in his own right. While Nargis Fakhri essays the role of a DJ who helps Riteish to showcase his talent in frontof aninnumerable number of people.

The 37-year-old actor started his career in Bollywood with K. Vijaya Bhaskar’s Tujhe Meri Kasam. Riteish is highly recognised for playing comic characters as he showed his funny side in films such as Kya Kool Hai Hum, Heyy Babyy, Grand Masti, Malamal Weekly, Houseful 3 and so on.

Ritesh has an immense fan following in Maharastra as he has delivered his noticeablework in Marathi films as well.
