One of the most speculated 2017 polls UP Election is just a few months away, and Indian National Congress has already got its unfair share of surprise as there have been rumours that one of the most prime members of Congress Party Rita Bahuguna Joshi is likely to quit the party henceforth joining its core rival platform Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Although none of the statements has been confirmed yet along with a strong note from the leader’s brother Vijay Bahuguna who is Uttarakhand CM from BJP.
The former UP unit President Rita Bahuguna Joshi met with INC Supremo Sonia Gandhi in probable talks under which the decision-making is still under wraps. The whole issue came to light when former Delhi CM Shiela Dixit got named as UP CM candidate in the upcoming 2017 polls. Joshi being one of the prime and strongest candidates from Congress got sidelined thus being rumoured as to quit the party so as to join BJP.
Earlier, as many as 6 MLAs left Congress in jitters when they boycotted the party ahead of Uttarakhand Polls a few years back. The weakening hold of Congress Party ahead such crucial UP polls may reflect in the results in May 2017. Moreover, in Manipur 2 MLAs quit Congress thus to join BJP, today on Monday.
UP elections already getting highlighted day by day due to its ruling party prime candidates’ Father Son tiff, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has been named as the face of Samajwadi Party for the upcoming elections. BSP Supremo Mayawati remains the face of her party ahead of the elections whereas BJP is most likely to announce its list of candidates on October 20, 2016. Also, the country’s major party, also in Centre, will come up in alliance with the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) in ahead of UP 2017 polls.
However, as of now only vague clarifications has come into limelight regarding Rita Bahuguna Joshi quitting Congress and joining her brother’s party BJP ahead of UP elections. Daughter of former Congress leader and UP CM Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, she has various allegations by her side in her previous days. The faced criticism and even imprisonment on commenting over then UP CM Mayawati along with falling hard in her previous UP election as CM candidate in election polls against other ruling parties a few years back.
So, the question still remains unsolved as whether Rita Bahuguna Joshi will quit Congress or not and if yes and join BJP then this would be one of the major blow on the face of INC ahead of UP elections polls in 2017.
After much series of queries risen in the middle of highly tensed political affairs in Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, another big blow on Congress answered the entire raged up the contradiction. The much talked about event Senior UP Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi finally quit the party henceforth joining Bharatiya Janata Party. The entire decision came soon after Shiela Dixit’s name got announced as UP CM candidate in the upcoming 2017 election polls. After few sessions with INC Supremo Sonia Gandhi, Bahuguna called it off, thus giving the final nod to join the party in opposition. Rita Bahuguna Joshi’s brother is a Member of Parliament and former CM of UP who belong to BJP, himself. As of now, Rita Bahuguna Joshi joining BJP may be seen as another step to the making of nation’s largest growing party till date.
