Ringing Bells CEO Mohit Goel has announced the launch of new surprises on the same day that he announced the final delivery date for the Freedom 251 cell phones. On Thursday, the Noida-based company launched an HD LED TV, four feature phones, two smartphones and three power banks at an event in New Delhi.
While the HD LED TV is priced at INR 9,900, the feature phones called Hit, King, Boss and Raja are available for INR 699, 899, 999 and 1099 respectively. TheKing and Boss feature phones come equipped with 2.4-inch TFT display, 2MP primary camera and cansupport up to 32GB of expandable memory via microSD card.
The King is powered by a 1,800mAh battery, while the Boss is armed with a 2,000mAh one. Raja comes equipped with similar specs as the King, but with an added feature of a 2.8-inch TFT display. The Hit comes with a 1.8-inch display, a 2MP primary camera, and a 1,250mAh battery.
The two smartphones have 5-inch HD IPS display, 1GB DDR3 RAM and 1.3Ghz Quadcore processor, 8MP rear and 3.2MP front camera.The Elegant 3G sports a 2,500mAh battery while the Elegant 4G has a 2,800mAh battery. They are available for INR 3,999 and Rs 4,999, respectively.
Goel told journalists of the company’s commitment towards delivering quality products at affordable prices for the average Indian by keeping in mind the productivity, economy of sales and other manufacturing issues while determining the prices. Though the pricing of the Freedom 251 had incurred huge losses, the company has come close to recovering the gap per unit throughapp developers and through revenues generated through advertisements on Freedom 251 website.
For distribution of the devices, Ringing Bells has partnered with RV Solutions and the process will employ both online and offline platforms. The TVs will be delivered from August 15. The delivery of the initial 5,000 units of the Freedom 251 will begin from July 8 and customers will have to pay an added delivery charge of INR 40 per unit.
