Real Madrid’s transfer ban which was previously imposed by FIFA was lifted for the upcoming Winter transfer window by the football governing body and that leaves Zinedine Zidane in quite an advantageous position as he looks to strengthen his squad further to continue Los Blancos’s 37-game unbeaten run at the top tier of football. And with squad additions, there is also a huge chance of a number of Real Madrid bench regulars to exit the Spanish Capital due to lack of playing time. With James Rodriguez already opening up talks of a possible transfer to the Premier League, the newest Real Madrid transfer speculations are revolving largely around their talented young Spanish midfielder Isco.
Premier League club Tottenham Hotspurs have reported set their eyes on Isco with a desperate attempt to sign him seeing his lack of playing time in Spain. Spurs have now won five of their last six in all competitions and are looking to strengthen for a title push during the January transfer window. Manager Mauricio Pochettino is a huge fan of the 24-year-old midfielder and will be hoping to swoop in for the kill should the midfielder decide to part ways with his former club.
Isco, who had been a pretty decent performer for Carlo Ancelotti and Rafa Benitez had been finding it quite difficult to feature in Zidane’s starting lineup owing to the presence of Modric, Kroos and Casemiro who are all specialists in the tactics the Frenchman employs in his proposed game. The Spaniard got his break when Casemiro and Kroos were sidelined with injuries and did not fail to disappoint proving to be the influential figure in Real’s 3-0 victory at the Calderon in La Liga earlier this season. However, with the return of the first team regulars back from injury, iSco finds himself on the bench yet again and by this time, the Spaniard might well be motivated to ask for a potential transfer from the Spanish capital. With less than 18 months left on his contract with Los Blancos, the club has expressed their interest to add Isco to the list of players they have opted to negotiate contract terms with. But, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, the playmaker is set to turn down the La Liga giants’ offer amid concerns over importance to Zidane’s side at the Bernabeu.
