Gully Boy is a movie that will depict the lives of street rappers from Mumbai’s chawls and ghettos. Zoya and Ranveer got interested in this project when they attended a few sessions of two street rappers, Naezy and Divine and while researching for the film, the two boys who were the subjects of a documentary ‘Bombay 70’ became their source of character inspiration. So Gully Boy is reportedly being inspired by the characters of Naezy and Divine.
Alia Bhatt will be seen opposite Ranveer. Though the release date of the movie has not been disclosed yet, but the fans are already for it. The reason behind the buzz is the director and the star cast. Zoya has a great film graph with all the hits in her bag, and Ranveer and Alia are the current sensations of Bollywood. So it is obvious that the movie will be extraordinary.
Currently, Ranveer is working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, which is based on the account of the 1303 siege of the Chittor fort in Rajasthan by Alauddin Khilji where he will be seen along with Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor and it is set to release on 17 Nov 2017.
