Superstar Rajinikanth’s presence made the inaugural of Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 more significant than ever. The upcoming movie of his son in law Dhanush was already set to start its shooting and Rajinikanth presence gave that moment an auspicious touch. It started with a formal pooja, and then Rajinikanth tapped the clap for the opening scene to start the shooting. Dhanush was on shooting floor, and the scene was shot by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya. The event was attended by the film’s leading lady, Amala Paul, along with Latha Rajinikanth, producer Kalaippuli S Thanu, Samuthirakani, Saranya Ponvannan, Vivekh and others.
Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 is the directorial venture of Soundarya Rajinikanth. Her brother-in-law and multifaceted actor Dhanush is producing the movie under his production house of WunderBar Films, along with Kalaippuli S Thanu’s V Creations.
Soundarya is the younger daughter of actor Rajinikanth and his wife Latha who started her career in graphic designing and eventually became a producer and director who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. Soundarya became the first woman to direct her father in a feature film Kochadaiiyaan, a 3D animation movie that minted a gorgeous sum. She also got praised for making a 3D animation movie, as it was the first attempt of any woman in the Southern entertainment industry.
Velaiilla Pattadhari, the prequel was made of 8 crores, and it was a huge hit. The movie earned 53 crores at the box office. Now this movie too is making the buzz for a long time and promises to release in the mid of 2017. It will be based on the pivotal character of the Raghuvaran of the previous film and will deal with his future endeavour. So as the shooting has already started, now we can start counting the days!
