After the Uri attack, Pakistani actors were ordered to leave the land of India and return to Pakistan. However, this troubled the glamour of Bollywood and movie like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has faced obstructions. According to the rumours, former Femina Miss India Ankita Shorey has been replaced by Mahira Khan in Raees, the upcoming SRK film. The role demanded a Pakistani actress, and that is why the Bol actress Mahira Khan is being forecasted in the role.
What did Ankita Shorey say about the replacement?
Fortunately, KJo’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is currently running at the box office with flying colours. Probably that is the reason why the makers went to their original choice of Mahira forecasting their motion picture, Raees. However, the beauty queen Ankita Shorey has set the record straight saying that she has been “strongly considered” but as days went by the makers narrowed the way on Mahira and therefore, she has been replaced by the Pakistani Diva. In her statement, she says, “The initial talk happened and I was called in for a look test. I feel very fortunate that at some point in time I was at least being strongly considered for such a beautiful film and role. Later after a few months, Mahira came into the picture and rest is history.” As a courtesy, she respects the makers’ decision and that Mahira has performed excellently in the movie which “deserves a worldwide reach.”
Adding to her previous statement, she declares that she has heard the news while she was in Paris for the French European-Indian Fashion Week. In the Fashion week, she walked as the showstopper. Being an optimist, Ankita looks forward to better and bigger opportunities in the long run. After all, it is a great misfortune to lose the opportunity to work with SRK and Excel Entertainment. In her words, we witness misfortune blending with new hopes when she says,”a slip between the cup and the lip, but then there is always a next time too.” With best wishes to the entire team of Raees, she concluded her speech. Now let us wait for latest updates of Raees until then stay glued with us.
