Prison Break Season 5: Fans reacted with joy and surprise as the reboot of the enormously popular tele-series ‘Prison Break‘ was made known publicly with the news of a new season, Prison Break Season 5, and speculation was rife about the upcoming storyline. We can now confirm that star and main protagonist Michael Scofield (portrayed by Wentworth Miller) is on his way home to his family and is journeying across several countries whilst doing so. A convoluted storyline also involves Michael getting rescued from a prison in Yemen.
WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM PRISON BREAK SEASON 5
Fans were devastated and left unsatisfied at the end of the last season 7 years ago and unaware of the fate Michael had come about. Based solely on the trailer of Prison Break Season 5, it has been implied that Michael’s brother Lincoln Burrows (played by Dominic Purcell) will be helping him escape a prison he is in Yemen (and has been in all the years his family thought him dead) due to the events that transpired during the Season Four finale. Now that Lincoln has discovered where his brother has been all this time, he will try and get him out of there. Obviously, he cannot do this alone and will need the help of their former inmates.
Several former characters from the previous seasons of Prison Break will return for the reboot to help break Michael out of prison. The returning characters, as seen from the trailer, also include fan favourites Fernando Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar), and Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies).
Michael will successfully bust out of prison obviously and reunite with estranged wife Sarah. The prison break itself might have heavy casualties and reports speculate that the ISIS or a related group would eventually find him and his brother Lincoln which in turn, may endanger the lives of his wife, their young son and everybody he knows.
Theodore ‘T-Bag’ Bagwell (Robert Knepper) has an ulterior motive in relaying the information of Michael’s status and his whereabouts to Lincoln. T-Bag apparently has unfinished business in Yemen and wants one of Michael’s fellow inmates to break out with him. T-Bag will probably release secrets to hostage rescue teams to ensure his plans are successful in Prison Break Season 5.
Prison Break Creator Paul Scheuring confirms he has adapted the Greek epic “Odyssey” by Homer and applied it to the upcoming Prison Break Season 5. Also, Paul Kellerman (Paul Adelstein) might go against the brothers Michael and Lincoln once again.
The series is scheduled to premiere early 2017 and air every Tuesday at 9:00 pm on the FOX network first in the USA and later globally. The first trailer of the upcoming series 5 was released in May 2016.
Dominic Purcell in the meantime has gone on to bigger roles including big-budget Hollywood movies
