The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is turning out to be one of the most awaited releases of this year, and for good reason. The smartphone has already cleared FCC certification and fans are eagerly waiting to get their hands on the device that is expected to be one of the most power-packed releases this year.
Among the rumours and speculations about the design and release of the smartphone, conjectures about the possible price point have not been drowned out. But discussions have always been hazy and as we all know, rumours generally have a way of leading to nowhere.
But we may now have at least a hint at the pricing possibilities of the device that will possibly be the most expensive smartphone to emerge from Samsung till date. According to the website SamMobile, which is usually considered to be a reliable source of information on Samsung mobile phones, the pricing of the upcoming smartphone is likely to be around 849 Euros, which roughly means a USD valuation of around $950 plus taxes. The exorbitant pricing makes sense in light of the fact that Samsung has been steadily increasing its prices with the premium build of the Galaxy S6 in 2015 and the Galaxy S7 in 2016. As experts note, the Note range also typically carries a premium over the S line and in Europe the Galaxy S7 costs 799 euros.
The pricing may deter some fans from buying the phone, even more so because the company is not likely to release a flat-screened variant. The curved sides may look stellar, but as some point out, it may lead to accidental touch inputs. However, with a horde of new releases lined up in the coming weeks, customers will have plenty of awesome options to choose from.
