Premier Futsal League 2016

After a day’s break, Premier Futsal is coming back with the second leg of the tournament. The first match of the second phase will be played between Kolkata 5s and Goa 5s at the Peddem Sports Complex in Goa. The match will start its proceeding from 7 PM sharp. Later in the evening, Mumbai 5s and Chennai 5s will lock horn with each other from 8 PM at the same venue.

After a 5 star performance from their marquee player Ronaldinho in the previous match, Goa will surely miss the service of their Brazilian superstar for the rest of the tournament as the former Barcelona legend has decided to leave his home country and will not be a part of this amazing tournament anymore.

Ronaldinho has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the upcoming Paralympics and thus he took such a heart-breaking decision, after mesmerising the Indian audience with his unearthly football skills. Former Brazilian skipper and the world cup winning captain Cafu will now replace in the Goa 5s side.

On the other hand, Hernan Crespo led Kolkata 5s are riding high with confidence as they thrashed Goa in their opening match of the tournament and currently seating comfortably at the top of the Group B with 4 points. With one win and one loss, Goa is currently grabbing the second spot of the table with three points, and with just 1 point, Paul Scholes led Bangalore is at the very bottom of the group table and yet to win a single match.

The scenario of the Group A is exactly same as of Group B. Michel Salgado’s Kochi 5s are topping the group with 4 points (one win, one tie). With one win, Ryan Giggs led Mumbai 5s are currently in the second place of the group A followed by Falcao led Chennai 5s, who just managed to earn a single point in this tournament so far and yet to open their winning account.
