On Friday, Reliance Industries Limited chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of a Jio smartphone, named as, Jio 4G VoLTE feature phone and interestingly, it will be available for free. Yes, you heard it right.

Mukesh Ambani designated the phone as “India Ka Smartphone.” The phone will technically cost Rs 0 but the company will take the one-time refundable security of Rs 1,500 which will be given back to the customers when they return the used phone to the company.

- According to an estimate, 5 million Jiophones will be sold every week.
